Hello.

I have a fairly old road bicycle and I am interested in getting a newer one for the Ride in June. Does anyone know of anyone trying to sell a used bike or anyone who would be interested in donating one to me? Please email me at sam_rakoon@yahoo.com.

Hi, personally I don't have a bicycle to donate. However, when I got my mountainbike stolen in May, I replaced it with a hybrid bike and have been really impressed with how comfortable it is (you sit on it like a mountanbike) and with the "10 speed" wheels how fast you can motor along. I ended up buying a Kona Dew Deluxe from Cove Bikes in NVan as I thought it was the best deal out there, if you don't mind paying a bit extra for disc brakes ($700 total). However, I did find the Devinci line of bikes such as the St.Tropez (about $500) at Steed to be quite nice too, I saw this post on Craiglist this morning if your interested in getting a free bike http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/bik/948477069.html
I think the deals are to be had now that it is winter time. Good luck finding a bike.

What size bike do you need? I have an old Specialized that is 54cm. Full Ultegra group but only 8-speed with a 53x39 chainring. It's probably worth a couple hundred dollars.

Hi

I have a Cannondale 'Street' Hybrid for sale in a size large.  I really like it but it's too big for me so I had to downsize (I'm 5'8").

I actually bought the exact same bike in a smaller size I liked it so much. I commute to work on it and and am riding in the ride to Seattle on it.
