Hello everyone! I registered for this event on January 21st and I've been quite impressed with the quality of the organization of this event. That said, there is one issue which I believe needs serious attention. That is the delay between when one's mailed in donation is received at the BC Cancer Foundation and when it is posted/credited to one's fundraising total on one's personal webpage. My neighbour gave me my first donation on January 21st and I mailed it the same day. Here we are on February 23rd, over a month later and it still does not show up on my webpage. Many of my supporters regularly check my personal page to see my progress and yet probably only half of my the actual funds I've raised so far, are showing up on my personal page. In my opinion, this is a completely unreasonable delay. I hope those in charge of this issue can do something about speeding up this process because it can have a negative effect on fundraising momentum. I am however, having a great time so far with this challenge and I've been overwhelmed with the support of friends, family, and people I've never even met. I registered on January 16th and I've had 2 cheques sent in, 1 on January 17th and 1 on January 28th. They were both posted on February 12th. This may sound like a stupid question but are you sure you sent it to BC Cancer Foundation P.O. Box 2017, Vancouver, BC V6B 3R6 and NOT 303-698 Seymour Street Vancouver BC V6B 3K6. If you sent it to the right place, I'd follow up with the Ride Guides.
i'm having the same issue, i have $600.00 worth the donations which has not been posted yet, i called and they confirmed that i should take 6-8 weeks, my donors are on my case about not seeing their name on the scoll. And yes, they have been send to the right place, which is a no brainer.
