Did anyone else notice that the person who won the Cannondale Bike Contest did not in fact have a personalized web page? The requirements to be eligible were to have a customized web page and send out at least 3 e-mails through their Participant Center. I have worked pretty hard to personalize my web page and I have sent out a ton of e-mails and although I knew the odds of winning were small I certainly did not expect the announced winner would not even meet the stated requirements for the Contest.
I wrote to the Ride Organizers the day they posted the winners name. I waited for an answer for several days and when I didn't get one I started this thread. I kept waiting for an answer from them but never got one. I kept checking the "winners" web page to see if/when he'd get around to personalizing it and "complying" with the contest criteria. I noticed today that he finally did do some personalization on his web page, nearly 3 weeks after the contest close and more than 10 days after they announced who won. Like I said, I figured the odds of winning were slim, I just didn't figure that the winner hadn't met the qualifications at the time they announced who had won or that the organizers wouldn't bother responding to my e-mail asking about it. What's done is done, I am more than happy training for the Ride on my own bike.
Did you call them? I'd give them a ring and tell them about the winner not having the page up. I'm sure all of us have been working hard to raise money and send out emails so that's really not fair.
