I just wondered whether this ride over time will evolve into some kind of a stage race, like which team or cyclist gets to to pitstop first. I wish it does. What does everybody think?
I don't think that would work. If it became some form of a race, it would scare away many recreational riders. Who make up the majority of the fundraisers.
after some time the excitement and enthusiasm will die down and it will be hard to get enough support and riders unless the organisers change coarse. Like everything else in life you will reach a plateau, hence the thought of a stage race for the front racers to maintain interest. Sponsored stages to have the funds directed to the Cancer foundation.
