Overtraining Injuries

My training has been going really well and I have been putting on increased mileage as I had planned. 2 weekends ago I rode 150km over 2 days. As has been the case for the longer rides I have had some numbness in my feet. Usually this goes away after a few minutes off the bike, but this time it didn't.

On the Monday following my big weekend of riding I was still numb and being new to this kind of riding I asked my Dr. if there were any concerns. He looked and diagnosed Morton's Neuroma. I was told to come back if it wasn't resolved in a couple of weeks.

I went to my physio, Phillipa Bruce. I can't say enough about how well she has helped with this problem. After 2 visits I am walking pain free and am able to continue with my planned training. If you are seeking excellent physio support for the new aches that you may have developed while training I would heartily encourage you to contact her. http://synergyphysio.ca/

Keep on training!!

Doug
